Terms & Conditions

General Information 

Chiddingfold Village Cinema (CVC) is operated by the Chiddingfold Village Hall Charity (registered number 305001). When you purchase a ticket whether on the CVC website or through other sellers, you are purchasing from the above-named charity. 

CVC provides entertainment through film showings and other events in the community of Chiddingfold.  It aims to raise funds towards specific projects associated with the village hall.

Your Consent to these Terms and Condition

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.  By purchasing a ticket from CVC by any means, you are deemed to have accepted them. 

Amendments to these Terms and Conditions 

CVC reserves the right to add to or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time and without notice.  Amendments will take effect when posted on the CVC website.  If you purchase a ticket after any amendment to these Terms and Conditions has been posted, you agree to be bound by the updated version thereof. 

 

Sale of Tickets 

The sale of tickets is always subject to availability.  Your ticket order is an offer to purchase from CVC and CVC has the right to refuse your order without giving reason. 

Please check your ticket order before making the purchase as mistakes cannot generally be rectified. 

 

Ticket price and availability information is subject to change without notice. 

All ticket purchases are subject to any necessary payment authorisation which, for online sales, may only take place after initial email confirmation has been given. 

Tickets cannot generally be returned, refunded or exchanged.  Only in exceptional circumstances and at its sole discretion, CVC may consider issuing a ticket for a future alternative event provided that the purchaser provides detailed reasons for such a request by email to support@chiddingfoldcinema.com at least 24 hours before the event for which the ticket was originally purchased. 

Please bring the ticket (or the email confirmation for online sales) to the screening to provide proof of purchase. 

Tickets are sold subject to CVC’s right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets. 

Online Ticket Orders 

Tickets can be purchased online via the CVC website. 

 

If CVC accepts your online ticket order, we will display a confirmation page on your screen at the end of the ordering process, and at this point there will be a contract between you and CVC.  We will also send you an e-mail confirmation of your completed order (normally within a minute or two of successful payment) for your information.  We recommend that you print out a copy of the confirmation page and/or confirmation e-mail for your records. 

WWhen you purchase a ticket via the CVC website, all transaction details that you provide to CVC or Wix Payments (its Payment Gateway Provider) Wix payments  (including your name and credit card details) will be held and used in accordance with CVC’s Privacy Policy or Wix Payments’ its Payment Gateway Provider’s privacy policy (as appropriate) and will be encrypted using SSL technology.

Online Ticket Price / Card Handling Fee 

The ticket price(s) will normally be as displayed on the CVC website during the ordering process.  In the event of an obvious error which could have reasonably been recognised by you as mis-pricing, CVC is not under an obligation to provide the ticket(s) to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after the confirmation page has been displayed and the confirmation email has been sent to you. 

Payment can be made by any method specified in the order process.  Our Payment Gateway Provider will deduct your payment from your card (including its card handling fee) at the time it processes your credit/debit card transaction.  For the avoidance of any doubt, where a transaction is not completed for whatever reason, our Payment Gateway Provider will not have levied its card handling fee, as your credit/debit card transaction will not have been completed. 

Marketing Communications 

By providing your contact details (e.g. via the CVC website) you are deemed to have authorised CVC to send you marketing communications (e.g. cinema newsletters, email notices of future performances, invitations to participate in a survey). 
 

Please read CVC’s Privacy Policy (available in the footer on the CVC website), which is deemed to form part of these Terms and Conditions and is incorporated herein by reference.  The Privacy Policy helps you understand how CVC may collect and use your personal information and the choices you can make about how your personal information is used.  In the event of a conflict or inconsistency between CVC’s Privacy Policy and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency. 

If you don't wish to receive such marketing communications then you can opt-out by changing your communication preferences.

Cancellation or Rescheduling 

Occasionally, events are cancelled or rescheduled by CVC.  Should this occur, we will endeavour to contact you either by phone or email using the contact details we hold for you.  To gain a refund or exchange for the face value of your tickets on a cancelled or rescheduled event only, please contact us by email to support@chiddingfoldcinema.com

Use of Tickets 

CVC reserves the right to refuse admission and may conduct security searches to ensure the safety of patrons. 

 

Doors open approximately 30 minutes prior to the advertised start time – you are strongly encouraged to ensure that you arrive in good time prior to the scheduled start.  Whilst CVC will make reasonable efforts to admit latecomers, provided that this can be done with minimum disruption to other patrons and/or (where relevant) the performers, late admission cannot be guaranteed. 

A No Smoking Policy applies within the venue.  Any breach of this policy will result in the offender being immediately ejected and, potentially, barred from future events. 

The unauthorised use of photographic and/or recording equipment is strictly prohibited during any CVC event. Any breach of this policy will result in the offender being immediately ejected and, potentially, barred from future events. 

Any person who has exhibited offensive or unacceptable behaviour, including but not limited to racist, sexist or inflammatory remarks, at any CVC event will be immediately ejected from the venue and, potentially, barred from future events. 

CVC accepts no responsibility at any time for any personal property. 

You represent and warrant that: 

  • any tickets that you purchase will only be used by persons who meet the published film certification; 

  • any tickets that you purchase are for personal use only and that they have not been purchased as part of any form of business or commercial activity, unless CVC has expressly authorised otherwise in writing; 

  • you will not (a) resell or offer for resale any ticket (whether at a premium or otherwise) and/or (b) use any ticket for advertising or promotional purposes (including prize draws, competitions, contests and/or sweepstakes) or for any other trade purposes.

 

Any breach of the above will result in the ticket(s) in question being deemed invalid, the ticket holder(s) being immediately rejected and the ticket purchaser, potentially, being barred from future events.
