Your cinema at the heart of your village
About Us
Chiddingfold Cinema exists for two reasons: we love films and we are proud of our village.
Having started in 2008 with a monthly visiting mobile rural cinema, the Chiddingfold Village Hall set up its own cinema in 2011 and bought professional AV equipment thanks to the leadership of our founder Matthew Lacey. In 2019 the AV equipment was upgraded and in 2023 a new laser projector was installed which provides our customers with the quality experience they enjoy today.

We are committed to offering a wide variety of the latest movies to people in Chiddingfold and the surrounding area, helping support our local community in the process.
We are staffed entirely by volunteers, with all profits going towards the maintenance and improvement of our 200-seat venue at the Village Hall.

Films
Experience top-quality audio and visuals
Our films are presented via laser project in high-definition digital format onto a 4.5 metre wide screen. The sound is provided by our professional AV equipment and a fabulous multi-speaker Dolby 5.1 surround sound system.
We have new hearing loop equipment installed at the village hall, if the loop is not already on please ask a Cinema volunteer.
Parking
Parking is available at the Village Hall car park and also at the Coxcombe Lane Recreation Ground car park diagonally opposite.
Accessibility
The Hall is compliant with legislation for disabilities (Equality Act 2010), any audience member with specific requirements should contact the cinema to ensure they are adequately provided for.
